“Receive only” number plans can receive SMS and incoming calls — sufficient for Grab and OTP codes — but cannot make outgoing calls. Wintel Unlimited plans do not support WiFi hotspot broadcasting.

What is an eSIM and how is it different from a physical SIM?
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your device. Instead of inserting a plastic card, you scan a QR code to activate a mobile plan. No SIM ejector tool, no waiting at a shop — just instant connectivity.
Which devices are compatible with the Vietnam eSIM?
Any eSIM-enabled device works — iPhone XS and later, most Android flagships from 2019 onward, and newer iPads. If you are unsure whether your device supports eSIM, message us before ordering and we will confirm.
When should I activate the eSIM — before or after landing?
You can activate before your flight or immediately after landing in Vietnam. Most travelers scan the QR code before departure so the data plan is ready the moment the plane touches down.
Can I keep my home SIM active at the same time as the Vietnam eSIM?
Yes. Most modern phones support dual SIM — your physical home SIM stays active for calls and texts, while the Vietnam eSIM handles local data. You switch between them in your phone settings.
Does the eSIM work across all of Vietnam, including rural areas?
Coverage is strong and stable nationwide, including major cities, beach destinations, and mountain areas. Connection quality in very remote locations may vary, as with any network.
Why do I need a Vietnamese phone number?
A local number lets you book Grab rides (the main rideshare app in Vietnam), receive OTP codes from banking and shopping apps, make local calls, and use services that require a Vietnam phone number for verification.
Can I share the data as a hotspot for other devices?

What happens when my plan expires — can I extend?
